I look at the floor and I see it needs sweeping, still my guitar gently weeps.
Here you will find the continuation of the eigenvector problem from class on Wednesday. I’ll post the last of the lecture pictures on Friday.
“Good news, everyone-”
“Uh-oh, I don’t like the sound of that.”
“You’ll be making a delivery to the planet Trisol…”
“Here it comes.”
“A mysterious world in the darkest depths of the Forbidden Zone.”
“Thank you, and goodnight. ”
Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.
Here you will find an updated version of the linear algebra slides which now include a discussion of eigenvectors/eigenvalues.
Inside the PDF is a link to the following movie, which illustrates how matrices can transform vectors/data. It’s not terribly important but I thought you might like it.

Hello everyone. Our final exam will take place on Saturday, May 4th at 1:00pm in BE241. It will be closed book and notes and be broken into:
- PDE: 25%
- FS/FT: 25%
- LA: 50%
Here you will find information about opting out of the PDE and/or FS/FT components of the exam. Those looking to raise their grade should consider doing better on the whichever exams they had a poor score on; this is how I decide to bump grades. Here you will find an offer at extra credit that I made to students last semester. I extend to you this offer as well. To make things even easier, here is the first page of what will be your final exam with the exact wording of the question, how extra credit will work and the check-box system.
I caught a glimpse but its been forgotten. So, here we are again.
Someone painted April fool in big black letters on a dead end sign.
Here you will find an updated version of the linear algebra slides, which now contain a section on matrix inversion and determinants. For this exercise you should do all of the examples.
I got up so tight I couldn’t unwind, I saw so much I broke my mind.
I know that starting over is not what life’s about but my thoughts were so loud I couldn’t hear my mouth.
Here you will find some notes on linear systems with some associated problems that you should do for exercise.
Bad news comes don’t you worry even when it lands, good news will work its way to all them plans.
But who can unlearn all the facts that I’ve learned as I sat in their chairs and my synapses burned?
Since we just had an exam, I don’t really see the need to have the late night office hours on Thursday. If you need to meet then send me an email and we can schedule a time to get together. Until then, enjoy the sun!
